Marcia Phillips, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated mental health nurse practicing at Staywell Healthcare LLC in Covington, Georgia. She has over 26 years of experience, providing compassionate care across a variety of settings. Her expertise spans inpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, virtual outpatient care, and medical detox/substance abuse. 

Marcia’s journey in healthcare began in 1999 at LaGuardia Community College in New York, where she earned her associate degree in Applied Science and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) after successfully passing the NCLEX exam.

Just a few months later, in January 2000, she proudly became a Registered Nurse. Her dedication to her education continued, and in January 2007, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she excelled academically. Driven by a deep understanding of the importance of mental health, Marcia specialized in Psychiatric Nursing and earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Walden University in May

2020. With this achievement, she became a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). 

Throughout her career, Marcia has worked in various healthcare settings, where she passionately advocates for holistic patient care and mental health awareness. She also finds joy in mentoring future nurses, inspiring them to make a positive impact in the healthcare field.

Colleagues and supervisors alike recognize her exceptional ability to build strong rapport and effectively manage crises, making her a trusted figure in the field. She specializes in a diverse range of mental health conditions, including ADD & ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, depression, OCD, personality disorders, schizophrenia, PTSD, and stress. 

In her spare time, Marcia cherishes quality moments with family and friends and enjoys exploring local travel opportunities.
